Ep-6

Episode Six / Takastepanichikewin Nikotwas
ATTAWAPISKAT FIRST NATION

We’re really excited to visit Attawapiskat First Nation, for this is our family’s homeland. Our cousin and Knowledge Keeper, Adrian Sutherland, took us waterfowl hunting and showed us how to setup decoys, bird calling and how to clean and cook our catch for the day. This is also where our grandparents are resting, and we had an opportunity to go and pay our respects. It was a special moment for us and one we’ll never forget.
